What the WHAT...

Said Jeff as he noticed some of the ice cream flavors in the Philippines. Jeff was super pumped about the corn ice cream... with real pieces of corn! They have corn stands everywhere.... you can buy it on the cob or by the bucket, kind of like popcorn, minus the pop.

Another one was the cheese ice cream... with real bits of cheese..... mmmm cheesy. We were not brave enough to partake but hoping that my parents will finally try some and let us know!

I can't remember if I have said this before but they have a ton of malls and they are huge!

We went to one that was about twice as big as west Ed. It was 5 stories high and it went on forever.

Sorry this post is kind of random, but here is some more. As we were driving out in the country one day we came across the rice fields. They were huge. The people still farm like it was the early 1900... they are out there hunched over working by hand, tilling the ground with animals.
There isn't a lot of room there, you use what ever you can. So for drying the rice they just spread it out on the road. It went for miles and miles... and yes people just drive over it. ( one reason to always wash your rice before cooking it!)

From what we gathered they go out and dry it, turn it, dry it some more, then sweep it up off the highway, bag it, and take it where it needs to go.

There are about 20 bags of rice in this picture... dad said they will fit all that on the trike. Well that was random, but there is more to come and it will be less fluff.

Man, there ain't nothing better than ice cream "loaded with bits of premium cheese." Corn ice cream comes a close second.

Gross. I did not know that about rice. Gross. Why is Jeff too much of a pansy to try corn ice cream? (yes, I realize that no one else will try it)
