Island Getaway

Last year Jennie and I started a new tradition to go on a bit of retreat over the Christmas holidays where we can get away for a night without kids and go to the temple. This year, instead of Cardston, we decided to go to Edmonton.

We left the kiddies at Mom and Dad's and headed out last monday afternoon for our island paradise in the Polynesian Room at the Fantasyland Hotel.

The room was really fun...the highlight was the massive volcano jacuzzi, with waterfall.

Monday night we checked out the mall and got some dinner at one of our favorite places, The Old Spaghetti Factory.


After dinner we grabbed our swim suits and spent a couple hours at the World Water Park. It was really fun as we pretty much had the place to ourselves. After sleeping in Tuesday morning and grabbing some breakfast, we headed over to the Temple for a session. We have never been to the Edmonton Temple, it was really nice. It is always great to take a break, and take some quality time together.
